At Her Studio, community is at the heart of everything we do. That’s why our filmmakers are coming together to host a school supply drive in support of children from low-income, immigrant, or refugee families.

As a production studio that works often with kids, we believe in investing in the next generation—especially those who haven’t been handed the same advantages.

With your help, we can make sure every child in Los Angeles and surrounding neighborhoods starts the school year with the physical tools they need to thrive—because access to education shouldn’t be a privilege.

En Her Studio, la comunidad es fundamental en todo lo que hacemos. Por eso, nuestros cineastas se unen para organizar una colecta de útiles escolares en apoyo a niños de familias de bajos recursos, inmigrantes o refugiados.

Como estudio de producción que trabaja frecuentemente con niños, creemos en invertir en la próxima generación, especialmente en aquellos que no han tenido las mismas oportunidades.

Con tu ayuda, podemos asegurarnos de que todos los niños de Los Ángeles y sus alrededores comiencen el año escolar con las herramientas físicas que necesitan para prosperar, porque el acceso a la educación no debería ser un privilegio.

  • We definitely could use your help at the end of the month! We need support for organizing supplies, also delivering backpacks and supplies to families in LA. Please email hello@weareherstudio.com to check if we currently need the support.

  • Absolutely!

  • We will not be verifying income status. We are trusting that there is a need, and hope to support our community!

  • There are no limits, but this is a first come, first serve basis. We expect a limited amount of supplies, and we expect to run out quickly. Therefore, we cannot guarantee we can fulfill all requests but we are hoping to be able to!

  • Yes! We’d love nothing more to support families and individuals in need. Please get in touch with us at: hello@weareherstudio.com.

  • We are striving for families and individuals to pick up from our distribution hub at the end of July. But in the case there is a lack of transportation, if we have enough volunteers, we can work on scheduling a drop-off with you.

  • All applicants will receive an email to book an appointment for pickup for end of July. We will not be hosting a mass pickup day. We look forward to seeing you!

  • At this time, we are striving to help LA county and surrounding cities.

  • Due to liability purposes, we are only allowing 18+ to support us in-person. However, we would be more than thrilled if your family helped us collect donations. You are more than welcome to drop off to us.
